Dear Editor
On behalf of all of the Conservative candidates in the European Elections, may I use your columns to thank all those who voted for our team and, as a result, helped re-elect me and my colleague, Philip Bradbourn.
The elections clearly showed that most people agree with us that Britain’s relationship with the EU needs real change so that it works for Britain. Philip and I are determined to continue to deliver that message and to represent the interests of the West Midlands in Brussels.
We will work with David Cameron to press for reform, renegotiation and to give the British people the final say on our EU membership at an in/out referendum – a referendum that can only be delivered by the Conservatives.
The Conservatives are the only party with a clear long term economic plan to turn this country around, deal with immigration, fix the welfare system and pass the laws needed to enable an in/out referendum in Europe.
I look forward to continuing the work I have been doing on behalf of individual constituents and businesses of all types and sizes and to promoting the West Midlands at every opportunity.
